Hello and welcome!

I’m from Chicago, but I lived in central Mexico for almost a decade (2 years in San Luis Potosí for grad school, and the rest in Tlaxcala). First, the Peace Corps sent me to Tlaxcala as a Volunteer. I fell in love with Mexico and extended my service for a third year, then stayed to study in a Mexican university and teach English.

As a Peace Corps volunteer, then grad school student, I became an expert in traveling on a budget. After this much time in the heart of Mexico, I know regional secrets only the locals know about, and I’m excited to share what I know with fellow explorers.

I've been featured as a model for the Tlaxcala Secretary of Tourism. Here's me posing next to a photo of me posing next to 10,000-year-old cave paintings in Tlaxco, Tlaxcala!

Thank you for reading, and feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions about your own trip to central Mexico!
